Restaurant Le XV - Port-La-Nouvelle

At the XV restaurant, the Campillo brothers are leading the game! It is in a setting in homage to the oval (rugby ball) that you will settle. On the terrace or in the hall, you will find many references to rugby.

Signed jerseys, balls, and local colors. Here, game nights are hot, you can eat without missing a thing.
Restaurant Le XV - Port-La-Nouvelle
But beware, with Loïc in the kitchen, we are far from stadium food. We offer dishes full of finesse, with local products, fresh fish and homemade desserts.

Do not miss the larded salmon tournedos or let yourself be tempted by the duck pie with mushrooms and its wine sauce. A real delight...
Want a little sweetness? Cédric recommends the Nutella tiramisu. Here, it's hearty, delicious and the presentation is not offside. Rest assured, evenings without a match, the XV restaurant is adorned with pleasant and elegant calm, perfect for a meal with friends or family. To avoid scrums in front of the restaurant, remember to book during the summer.
Restaurant Le XV - Port-La-Nouvelle
"I love this place with very good qualities and friendliness of rugby spirit with unsurpassed quality, here you get value for money, a great place to be on board."

"A great place with great food and large portions. After going to Marseille, Montpellier, Nice and Cannes this is the best place we have found so far. The staff do not speak fluent English, but are very welcoming and eager to help. It is a pity that we are only in Port la Nouvelle for one night because this restaurant is worth coming back."

Port Leucate

Port Leucate

Port Leucate is a small port located in the South West of France in the Langedoc-Rousillon Region. The Port is formed on a small strip of land that has the Med Sea on one side and a Lake (L'Etang) on the other, with the Mountains in the background. The village of Leucate is situated about 4 miles to the North of the naturist village. Take the cycle paths for the short journey into this vibrant village. Leucate has a number of bars & restaurants which are open throughout the year. The weekly market is on a Thursday morning. The local Vignier will be happy to sell wines from the local co-operative to the finest the Fitou region has to offer. Port Leucate is situated a couple of miles to the South. Port Leucate is larger than Leucate Village and surrounds a large marina. You can sit in one of the many harbour-side bars and look out over the mix of local fishing boats and luxury yachts. The market in Port Leucate is on Sunday morning...

Plage de la Franqui, Plage des Coussoules

Plage de la Franqui, Plage des Coussoules

La Franqui and its beach of Les Coussoules with 5 miles of fine sand has a claim to be the oldest seaside resort on the Languedoc coast. In the past it was a port of call for Phoenician and Roman galleys, today la Franqui is a Kingdom of kiteboarding, windsurfing and landsailing. Every genuine beach or seaside resort has been granted an exceptional location by the gods. La Franqui is no exception. The oldest seaside resort on the Langudoc coast nestles in a pine forest that backs onto the rocky plateau of Cap Leucate, at the foot of the only cliffs that exist between Marseille and Port-Bou. Fronting the resort is Coussoules beach with its 5 miles of fine sand that stretch lazily from la Grande Bleue to l’Etang de la Palme. As a backdrop, there is la Clappe massif, Mount Saint-Clair and Canigou peak. The array of colours is striking: the cerulean blue of the sea, the murky green of l’étang (lake), the golden yellow sand, the dazzling white of the cliffs and the green of the scrubland. Who could ask for more? The area was frequented formerly by Paul Gauguin, then by Charles Trenet and today by Jérôme Savary. This tiny resort which is a locality in the district of Leucate has managed to escape the ravages of concrete and modernity...

Peyriac-de-Mer

Peyriac-de-Mer

Peyriac-de-Mer - A delightful road from Bages takes you along the narrow strip of land between the shore and the salt marshes to Peyriac-de-Mer, another fishing village on the bank of the lagoon. Drive slowly, and admire the view. Part of the lagoon has been declared a nature reserve, and this is a good place for spotting flamingos, herons, storks, and other waterfowl. The smaller Etang de Doul, near Peyriac, has the notable feature of being 43% salt ... comparable to the Dead Sea! Swimming, or rather floating, in it is an interesting experience.
