Yes, there is an odd little collection of animals grazing in paddock's in the back. Donkeys, Llamas, Goats, etc... Inside the restaurant you'll find a lovely dinning room and great young servers who are very professional. The service was very good here, very friendly. The food was outstanding. I came to Castelnaudary for the Cassoulet and I came to Le Tirou on a recommendation from friends in the wine industry. My first course was so yummy. Boudin Noir sauteed crisp and put on to a toasted rustic slice of bread smeared with roasted apples. Then, the Cassoulet. It was really perfect. Rich and flavorful, bubbling up through a mahogany crust in a clay casserole. The portion was huge and very satisfying. I ate it all. For dessert a lovely little fruit tart with house made ice cream, toasted Almond slices, and a drizzle of caramel. I found the price to be quite fair...
