Mountain bike, hybrid bike, city bike, child's bike and 2-children trailer rentals for roads and trails. Peddle-car (pedal-powered cars for 2 to 9 people + 2 children), pedal carts and pushchair rentals.
The Languedoc is a cyclist’s paradise. From flat canal banks to undulating vineyards and steep mountain roads; whatever your style there is something here for you.
Fanatic road cyclists can follow the tyre tracks of the Languedoc sections of the Tour de France. Mountain bikers can get off the beaten track and into trails through the vineyards, garrigue or mountains. Family cyclists can also enjoy the splendours of the area with well kept Voie Verte trails along quiet tracks or canal banks. The 240km path alongside the Canal du Midi is the most famous cycleway in the region, but that shouldn’t stop you exploring the endless possibilities elsewhere... |

You can ride in Languedoc-Roussillon anytime of the year since, outside the mountains, there is usually no snow. However, if you want to ensure good weather, the best time is from April to October.
The region is bombarded by tourists in the summer (especially August, when all of France is on the road!), so if you're looking for tranquility, the shoulder seasons (April-June/September-October) might be best. On the other hand, Languedoc-Roussillon, like the rest of France, has a vast network of roads of all sizes, so even in the height of summer you can find a quiet country road to take you where you are going.
In the western part of the region
Languedoc-Rousillon (mainly the department of Aude) there are some truly wonderful rides through ‘Cathar Country’, an area dotted with ruined castles and dramatically-perched villages and which is all that remains of Catharism, a ‘heretical’ religion that was wiped out by the Catholic Church over 700 years ago.

After borrowing a path of vineyards and made a little road, the meal period may be close to the viewpoint which offers a beautiful view of Narbonne and its Cathedral .. A little further away, downhill near pines before finding the paths that will allow us to see the Virgin of Cruques and end up on the shelf in the scrubland of Clape where one could see, on February 27, a wild iris multitude of all colors. The La Clape AOP is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...
