Musée Aeroscopia - Blagnac

You can immediately board the museum, which brings together an exceptional collection of aircraft. Ideal for those who have always dreamed of entering the cockpit of the legendary Concorde. Close to the Airbus factories, the 35,000 m2 of space houses playful and interactive activities, an exhibition of legendary aircraft from all eras (Concorde, Caravelle, Super Guppy, A300B, etc.) and a 58-meter-long fresco that tells the story of aviation shows. Young or old, newbie or enthusiast, there is no doubt a visit for you among the different themes on offer: discovery, family, military aviation, the Concorde ... The museum offers a unique opportunity to get on board the Concorde, to discover feel how small you are next to the Super Guppy and discover everything you never see when traveling by plane.

There are many activities on offer and the flight simulator alone will delight pilots looking for action! The Tarmac Nord has been open to the public since December 2019. This new open-air exhibition space with a total area of 20,000 m2 offered five new devices at the end of the summer to complete the museum's collection: the first prototype of the Airbus A320, an Airbus A340-600, an ATR 42 , an ATR 72 and the Airbus A380 MSN002. It will enable the general public to better understand the history of aviation in Toulouse through emblematic Airbus aircraft such as the A320, the second best-selling aircraft in the world, and the A340 quadjet, whose ancestor is no different is then the A300B, already present in the museum's collection. A true air giant from the European manufacturer, the Airbus A380 is fully equipped and can be visited by the general public from March 14, 2020. Its innovative scenography allows visitors to discover the world of aircraft construction (production lines, cabin layout) and gain insight into current issues such as environmental protection and innovation...
Five themed interactive 50 m² exhibition areas complete and explain the aircraft collection. Visitors play an active part in the learning process as they try out flight techniques and do quizzes.

The fun, interactive visit to this area shows everything that goes on behind the scenes during a flight! Visitors discover all the technical background they would not normally be able to see, from the plane’s flight preparation to air traffic control, cabin pressurisation, international aviation language and the final guidance provided to the pilot on the apron after landing.
Musée Aeroscopia - Blagnac
This themed area presents a complete overview of aviation trades, in both the industrial (painter, airframe fitter, manufacturing process planner, structural engineer, etc.) and operational (maintenance technician, traffic officer, air traffic controller, etc.) domains. It is an entertaining visit, with samples of materials to be handled and games to provide a better grasp of certain skills. On a large, interactive touch table, visitors can select a model of plane, customise it, choose its on-board equipment and even its airline!
They become Airbus clients and order their own plane!

How do you fly a plane? In this area, visitors learn all about flight controls and are introduced to such phenomena as rolling, pitching and yaw. Examining the fresco that looks back over developments in flight controls throughout the history of aviation, they will become genuine experts!

Foix

Foix

Administrative centre of the département of Ariège, FOIX lies 82km south of Toulouse on the main Paris–Barcelona train line and the N20 road to Ax-les-Thermes and the Spanish border. It's an agreeable country town of narrow alleys and half-timbered houses, with an attractive old quarter squeezed between the rivers Ariège and Arget, filled with houses from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Dominating all are the three distinctive hilltop towers of the Château des Comtes de Foix, which contains the eminently missable Musée d'Ariège (May–June & Sept daily 9.45am–noon & 2–6pm; July & Aug daily 9.30am–6.30pm; Oct–April Wed–Sun 10.30am–noon & 2–5.30pm; €4) – though the views are worth the climb. Determined opponents of the territorial ambitions of the Capetian kings of France and stout defenders of Catharism, the counts of Foix drew upon themselves the wrath of Simon de Montfort senior, who four times laid unsuccessful siege to the castle, though he did capture the town in 1211. Their resistance was finally broken in 1229 when Roger-Bernard, the count of the time, was obliged to accept the feudal dominance of the French king. Foix's age of glory came in 1290 when its counts married into the house of Béarn. Although they transferred their court to Orthez in the fourteenth century, this was the beginning of a powerful Pyrenean mini-state, whose influence lasted three centuries and came to include the kingdom of Navarre, leading finally to the throne of France with the accession of Henri III of Béarn and Navarre as Henri IV of France in 1589...

Lourdes et Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges

Lourdes et Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges

The second Catholic pilgrimage site in the world after Rome, the town of Lourdes became famous after the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous at various times between 11 February and 16 July 1858. Today, the sanctuaries of Lourdes located on the banks of the Gave de Pau river attract millions of visitors and pilgrims each year. The key sites of the Religious Town (Cité Religieuse) are the Rosary Esplanade (Esplanade du Rosaire) – dominated by the neo-Byzantine Our Lady's Basilica (Basilique Notre-Dame), the Crypt and the Immaculate Conception Basilica (Basilique de l'Immaculée Conception) – the famous miraculous grotto where the Virgin appeared on 18 occasions, the underground St Pius X Basilica (Basilique Saint-Pie X), the Espace Sainte-Bernadette pilgrimage centre and the Way of the Cross (Chemin de Croix) and its 15 stations. The entire place is imbued with a very special spiritual and mystical atmosphere...

Stéphane Tournié Les Jardins de l'Opéra - Toulouse

Located in an inner courtyard on Capitol Square, the very Florentine frame will enchant you with its brightness and its peace in full city center. Whether it is in the dining room in rotunda, in the flowery inner courtyard or around the swimming pool, reigns an unrivalled atmosphere, made by peace, by discreet luxury and by well-being, which agrees completely with Stéphane Tournié's cooking. His sophisticated cooking, full of character, flavourful and creative as one pleases shows itself of the most authentic. Michel Sarran

Michel Sarran - Toulouse

"Here like nowhere else..." Here, it is a house more than a restaurant, where the art of life is practiced with sweetness, discretion and charm. We welcome you with respect, friendliness, warmth and soon like our friends. The word "customer" doesn't make sense. Here everything goes by two: the dining room, the cooking, Françoise & Michel Sarran. First the dining room, I mean rooms. They are each double: The one downstairs, with modern architecture and furniture, with wood and tiling that sweeten straight lines and curves and rush into an indoor garden in springtime. Then there are the ones upstairs. There, no doubt, the notion of restaurant fades away to leave the space to a familial house. Instantly the environment is more intimate and hushed...

Le Capitole -
Hotel de Ville - Toulouse

Le Capitole - Hotel de Ville - Toulouse

In Toulouse there is no Mairie, but rather a majestic Capitole! An emblematic building, it is home to the town hall, a theatre and rooms of state where you can bump into celebrities from the city. The seat of municipal power since its construction, commissioned by the Capitouls in the XII Century, transformed and embellished in every era, La Capitole shows its majestic Neo-Classical façade to the unmistakable square that shares its name. Its walls could tell of the great moments in the history of Toulouse: from the Cathar episode to the creation of the Floral Games, from the Counts of Toulouse to the siege of the city. On the first floor, you cross magnificent reception rooms that are decorated with the Allegories of Love by Paul Gervais, 10 giant canvases by Henri Martin and, notably, the Salle des Illustres whose paintings retrace the history of Toulouse and whose busts bring back to life the personalities that have defined the city. Lyrical art lovers? Le Capitole is also the famous Toulouse opera house...
