Maison Saint-Crescent - Cave à Vins et à Manger - Narbonne

Lionel Giraud, two-star chef, presents a new concept with Cave à Manger & Cave à Vins. Plates for sharing, accompanied by wines from the cellar, all in a friendly atmosphere. A kitchen infused with the terroir of Narbonne, eaten according to a claimed savoir-être: this to put you at ease.

Come and refresh your ideas and your taste buds under a beautiful bluestone vault. 2500 references of good wines to take away or to taste on the spot are waiting for you. Including carefully selected deli meats, fried foods and bistro dishes with a regional accent that evoke the gluttony of an impromptu meal or a relaxed meeting with friends.
Maison Saint-Crescent - Cave à Vins et à Manger - Narbonne
The imposing building is located on the outskirts of Narbonne, a city full of history, bordered by the Robine canal. Since 2003, when Lionel Giraud took over the management of the kitchen and the establishment, La Table Saint Crescent has undergone several phases of renovations. After the first full year of recovery, Lionel Giraud and his team were already busy with the interior in 2014 to ensure better comfort for the gourmets. The budget of about a ton was invested to give a revival to the entire building. Stone walls, small vaults and antique arcades define the design of the furnishings, as do the furniture and crockery. Such a surprising and harmonious combination, delicious with your meal at Table Saint Crescent. A mix full of history and modernity combines a warm and "relaxed" atmosphere. The dishes follow each other in a refined ballet of colors and flavors and are served with care and discretion by the team...
In his Maison Saint-Crescent, Chef Lionel Giraud offers a 2-star restaurant 'La Table' and a 'Cave à Vins et à Manger' where a daily menu is served.

The gourmet cuisine of Lionel Giraud has been intensified: refined, inventive, demanding, it is a flawless partition! It is a subtle blend of aromas, flavours and textures. Small selection of card: organic chicken egg "calf and marbled" grated Melanosporum truffle, célerisotto with sunflower seed, green lobster in saffron Corbières, root vegetables and pear with combava, juice of full body carcasses and ending with Vacherin the strawberry kaffir lime zest, fresh basil and mascarpone whipped cream, liquid air meringue.
Maison Saint-Crescent - Cave à Vins et à Manger - Narbonne
To our great satisfaction the food varies with the seasons. As for the wine card, it highlights the terroir, its presentation via Ipad is very nice! For those who are hesitant, several options are available to you: from the Lunch for businessmen through the "Impromptu", the "Conviviale" and "Confiance" formula... Starred gastronomic travel guaranteed! Lionel is one of the top three of the best French chefs.

La Clape

La Clape A.O.P.

The La Clape AOP is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...

Béziers

Béziers

The birthplace of Pierre-Paul Riquet, founder of the Canal du Midi, Béziers combines its age-old architecture with the beauty of the Orb, Hérault's emblematic river. A majestic monument, cherished by architecture-lovers, towers over its waters: the Cathedral of St. Nazarius, built in the 13th century. This Gothic fortress dominating the city is uniquely original. You could be forgiven for thinking you were visiting a castle! To admire a breathtaking view of the whole of Béziers, head to the Bishop's Palace Garden (Jardin de l'Évêché) downhill from the cathedral. There you can enjoy a unique view over the Orb Plain and the city's bridges, which seem to spring from the ground. Take a stroll in the city centre along its cobbled, narrow streets. You will probably come across other treasures hidden between the old buildings, like the statue of Pépézuc, a mythical Béziers figure said to have saved the city from invaders during the Hundred Years War. Another curiosity: Béziers' old Roman arena. Unlike its counterpart in Nîmes, it is inhabited by locals. Above the ruins stand colourful residential buildings, a wonderful blend of past and present. To get away from the urban hustle and bustle, take a trip to Béziers' old cemetery, which has echoes of Père-Lachaise in Paris. You can walk among the sculptures, cypress trees and graves, some of which are seemingly vying to be the most eccentric: unusual typography, elegant statues and other wonders adorn the stone. Lastly, a trip to Béziers would not be complete without a visit to the legendary Allées Paul-Riquet, a pleasant avenue lined with plane trees, shops and lively café terraces...
