"The winemakers of the Voie Romaine and Cabardès are pleased to present the fruits of their labor of love. The originality of his vineyard crossed by two influences (oceanic and Mediterranean) makes it an exceptional terroir which we are certain will delight any palate. We invite you to visit our caves and to discover the different products in our range. We hope you enjoy your visit."
Les vignerons de la Voie Romaine - Pezens
The vineyards are located at the crossroads of three adjoining lands crossed by the Canal du Midi. They draw their originitalié in nature and climate of each of them. At the junction of Malepère (piedmont Pyreneeën) of Carbardés (terraces of the Montagne Noire) and the slopes overcoming the medieval city of Carcassonne, this geological crucible enjoys an exceptional situation. Since Roman times, Villesèquelande, villa on the Via Aquitania, is a must-up on the road to Mediterranean wines...
Red Wine = Red Wine White Wine = White Wine  Rosé = Rosé

Combining the Atlantic varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and Mediterranean (Syrah, Grenache, this vineyard, subjected to heavy and tyrannical breath of wind or sometimes the cold ocean blades of the west wind, is located on Via Aquitania. This wealth of differences in fact, since Roman times, is a must place on the route of the great wines of the Languedoc.

A variety of vineyards, an environmental preservation, traceability of production, innovative materials, a barrel cellar, a bottling of ownership associated with the philosophy and art of our oenologists explain the extraordinary typicality our wines.

With 1,100 hectares of vineyards, the winemakers of the Roman Road and Cabardès produce an average of 90 000 hectoliters of wine in four different denominations: AOP Cabardès, IGP OC, IGP City of Carcassonne and IGP Cathare. The IGP's are mainly mono varietals, other products in the range are from assemblies. The conditioned output is 200 000 bottles and 20 000 Bag in Box...

A.O.P. Cabardès

The Cabardès region is situated to the west of Languedoc and to the south of the central massif, a geologist's dream, balanced between east and west, the sun and the coolness, the heathland and the mountain. It is here that the winds cross. They bring the intense mediterranean heat necessary for southern "cépages" (grape types) such as syrah and grenache, and the cool atlantic humidity for the ocean "cépages": merlot, cabernet-sauvignon, cabernet-franc, cot and fer-servadou, to prosper. The vineyards and wines of Cabardès have been recognized as AOC since february 1999. The quality of the grapes, the wine-making, the blending of the "cépages" and the keeping of the wines has allowed us to obtain the best balance between fruit and structure, fullness and complexity, intensity and elegance. Cabardès assembles 30 châteaux and domaines over 500 productive hectares spread amongst 18 villages. 20000 hectolitres are produced each year,of which 60% are exported....

Vin de Pays d’Oc,
Vin de Pays de l’Aude

Vin de Pays d’Oc, Vin de Pays de l’Aude

Vin de Pays means 'country wine' to the French, but to outsiders it can mean New World with a French accent. These are the wines which the French authorities unreservedly allow to be labelled with the grape variety from which they were made. It is difficult to over-estimate the importance of this large and growing category of wines for the future of the French wine trade. The French themselves may have tended to see any Vin de Pays as distinctly inferior to any appellation contrôlée wine, whereas many of their customers abroad see the better Vins de Pays as good-value, user-friendly, sometimes high-quality non-conformist emissaries from the world's most revered wine producer....
