During this walk there are sculptures by artists exposed in nature. In an exceptional natural site, during an art expedition and a walk overlooking the vast landscape of the Corbières, Le Sentier Sculpturel de Mayronnes presents contemporary sculptures in the countryside, among vineyards and scrubland.
Le P.A.S. - Randonnees, Tourisme, Pays Cathare - Belcaire
10 km from Lagrasse, recognised as on of the 'Most beautiful villages in France' with its majestic abbey, the Mayronnes trail is a walk among contemporary works of art which blend beautifully with the unspoilt natural setting of the Corbières.

Mayronne(s) is a hamlet in the Corbieres hills, near Lagrasse. It hosts a stunning free sculpture trail 5km (two hours 30 minutes) long. There are permanent sculptures and an annual exhibition April – September. Sculptures are amusing, puzzling and breathtaking. The walk would be stunning even without the sculptures and it is a magical experience.
Very few people know it’s there...

Château Borde-Rouge - Lagrasse

A.O.P. CorbièresThe vineyard of Château Borde-Rouge is one of the most picturesque geographies of the area .It is a natural amphitheater open to the sky, as the hand of God. At the heart of the circus, the castle, and on the steep hillsides of Mount Villebersan, the rows of vines that take possession of the red earth and form an illuminated green setting to the buildings of the castle and its timeless charm turret. White rocky ridge, ocher earth tones and hundred-year-old pines sculpted by the wind: it is an enchanting panorama that can be admired from afar when arriving by the road of the Vins des Corbières. On these medieval lands molded by beauty, still haunted by the Cathar tragedy, we invite you to a real stroll in the time between historic patrimony and contemporary creation. The turbulent history of Château Borde Rouge is rooted to the origins of our civilization. Roman occupation, Saracen tornado and work of the Benedictines marked the fate of Borde Rouge...

Restaurant Bourdasso

Restaurant Bourdasso - Pradelles-en-Val

Up in the Corbières hills, which lead to the Pyrenees, the natural border between Spain and France, and no more than a 20-minute drive from the Cité of Carcassonne and equidistant between the villages of Montlaur and Monze and closest to the hamlet of Pradelles-en-Val, there is a most unexpected outpost of Italy. The farm, which is not that easy to see from the road, has long been called Bourdasso. The property it occupies is the former winemaking facilities and house of the previous owners but the Italian influence is now obvious. The men wear predominantly white with their shirts conspicuously outside their trousers; the main dining room is stylishly simple and clean; and most crucially, and unusually for this part of the world, there is not a mention of cassoulet or confit du canard on the menu. The wine list even carries 10 different Italian red wines...

La Maison Aïni

La Maison Aïni - Serviès-en-Val

Philippe Aïni, born in Bordeaux on June 22, 1952, father of three children, suddenly broke with his existence as a pastry worker at the age of 24, to devote himself to creation (mainly paintings and sculptures). Without artistic training, he will invent his art from top to bottom. For 8 years, alone in his studio, he paints fiercely, seeing very few artists and close friends; nevertheless, his work interests: certain art lovers ask him to exhibit it: Jean-Pierre Roche, in particular, director of the Émergences gallery in Bordeaux, who passionately loves his work, exhibits it on several occasions, thus contributing to the make known in the South-West. Likewise Guy Lafargue who runs the Art Cru gallery in Auch. Philippe Aïni, unusual creator, totally self-taught painter, free from any cultural influence, rejects any identification with an artistic current. His artistic career and his notoriety have led him to exhibit in most of the major international cultural scenes...
