Le Massif de la Clape
|
The La Clape AOP is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...

A worthy heiress of “La Petite Cour” (very famous restaurant in Narbonne from 1994 to 2005), “La Petite Cour, 20 ans après” (which is located exactly at the same place - 9, rue Auber, close to the city center history) has kept the same recipes: a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, neat and homemade cuisine and low prices!
These principles perfectly reflect the values of the chef, Georges Liébart. With his wife, Monica, he makes every effort to make you have a great time by sharing a very good meal. And the least we can say is that it is successful!
