La Tulipe Noire - Fleury d'Aude

Jérôme loves the trade, after having worked in very nice restaurants, he settled with his wife in this small village near La Clape, between Béziers and Narbonne. His credo: treating his guests around a healthy and gourmet cuisine prepared with fresh products and offering dishes with unconcealed tastes and flavors. Rest assured, everything that comes out of his kitchen is beautiful and good.
La Tulipe Noire - Fleury d'Aude
The address don't beat about the bush, it gets straight to the point: quality products, precise gestures, mastered cooking, juices perfectly made, subtly presented dishes and the young age of the chef to make you discover his cuisine halfway between terroir and modernity. At lunchtime, a formula is offered but you will fully become aware of Jérôme's talent on the menu.

The dining room set in a redesigned former cellar where the old stones and the old tun that is used as wine cellar are still present. A very favorite address, a state of mind. A restaurant that keeps making people talk about it. New for 2020: the chef has his own vegetable garden!
Cooking is an art! The art of combining with its environment; the art of taking the existing, shaping it to give it a soul. What we offer you is not just something to eat, but rather a culinary walk according to what nature offers us. That's why at La Tulipe Noire we bring new flavors to our menus every month.
La Tulipe Noire - Fleury d'Aude
As restaurant owners, we feel involved with you. That's why we carefully select every product that we serve you. We always prefer local, healthy, organic productions. The same applies to meat and fish in accordance with our values with respect for nature.
La Tulipe Noire - Fleury d'Aude
We started the adventure La Tulipe Noire in 2015. We wanted a warm, atypical place; This old wine cellar, the walls of which still bear the drunkenness of yesteryear, was immediately apparent (...) Since then, every time you enter you sit down, we do our best to make you feel at home - We stimulate our creativity, we stir in the kitchen and we hold our best smiles, so that your arrival becomes an ecstasy for all your senses ...

La Clape

La Clape A.O.P.

The La Clape AOP is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...

Béziers

Béziers

The birthplace of Pierre-Paul Riquet, founder of the Canal du Midi, Béziers combines its age-old architecture with the beauty of the Orb, Hérault's emblematic river. A majestic monument, cherished by architecture-lovers, towers over its waters: the Cathedral of St. Nazarius, built in the 13th century. This Gothic fortress dominating the city is uniquely original. You could be forgiven for thinking you were visiting a castle! To admire a breathtaking view of the whole of Béziers, head to the Bishop's Palace Garden (Jardin de l'Évêché) downhill from the cathedral. There you can enjoy a unique view over the Orb Plain and the city's bridges, which seem to spring from the ground. Take a stroll in the city centre along its cobbled, narrow streets. You will probably come across other treasures hidden between the old buildings, like the statue of Pépézuc, a mythical Béziers figure said to have saved the city from invaders during the Hundred Years War. Another curiosity: Béziers' old Roman arena. Unlike its counterpart in Nîmes, it is inhabited by locals. Above the ruins stand colourful residential buildings, a wonderful blend of past and present. To get away from the urban hustle and bustle, take a trip to Béziers' old cemetery, which has echoes of Père-Lachaise in Paris. You can walk among the sculptures, cypress trees and graves, some of which are seemingly vying to be the most eccentric: unusual typography, elegant statues and other wonders adorn the stone. Lastly, a trip to Béziers would not be complete without a visit to the legendary Allées Paul-Riquet, a pleasant avenue lined with plane trees, shops and lively café terraces...

Saint-Pierre-la-Mer Plage

Saint-Pierre-la-Mer Plage

St Pierre la Mer and St Pierre sur Mer are one in the same village, but like its double name it has a split personality to match. During the winter season, the town is closed up tight like the bivalves that it is famous for: oysters and mussels. We have 50O permanent residents that brave the cold sea winds in of December-- last year we even had snow! There is only one little casino outpost of a grocery store and half the time the shelves are bare since there is no demand. A vehicle is necessary since the bus system is not running and to get supplies you have to take one of the two roads out to get to either Narbonne in the south or Beziers in the North. As its name suggests it is on the Mediterranean sea with 8km of fine sandy beaches. Nestled in the La Clape region which is limestone cliffs and state protected garrigue lands interspersed with wineries. You have to drive 17 km through La Clape to get to St Pierre la Mer and its little neighbour Narbonne-Plage. In this drive you will see wilderness of wild thyme and rosemary, scrubland, olive trees and pines that are in their native habitat along the windy, twisty and quite dangerous roads. Along the way are many long stretches of grapes, soon to be Languedoc wines. The area is famous for its wine production and many vineyards offer wine tasting, and the opportunity to buy wine either en vrac (in your own container), by the bottle or the case...

On the campsite you will find a beautiful pool area with 2 pools and a paddling pool. For the sports fans there is a tennis court and a gym. Children will enjoy themselves on the playground. The region lends itself perfectly to very many activities: if you consider a sportive, dynamic camping holiday, or a calm and relaxing vacation, you will find your happiness. Enjoy the little train from St. Pierre to admire the sea and its surroundings. The more energetic persons can rent mountain bikes and discover the region. Walk through the vineyards and lagoon areas. Come and try watersports such as water skiing, kite surfing, stand up paddle or kayaking. Finally, stroll through the typical Languedoc Roussillon markets such as the market of St. Pierre or the Halles "Lo Vilatge"...

Oppidum d'Ensérune - Nissan-lez-Enserune

Oppidum d'Ensérune - Nissan-lez-Ensérune

Come and visit the archaeological site of Ensérune lying ten kilometres from Béziers between the Languedoc garrigues and the shores of the Mediterranean, and discover one of the most important Gaulish villages in the South of France. The Oppidum d'Ensérune is an ancient hill-town (or oppidum) near the village of Nissan-lez-Ensérune, France, located between Béziers and Narbonne close to the D609 (formerly RN9) and Canal du Midi.  The fields at Montady, below the Oppidum was the swamp of Montady, which is now wedge shaped fields separated by irrigation ditches that converge in the centre. In the 13th century, the swamp was drained; the ditches allowed water to flow to the centre of the circular depression, from which it was conveyed through underground pipes several kilometres to the south. The drainage is still functional and remains in use...

Kolandia Park - Vendres

Kolandia Park - Vendres

Located at the gates of the Aude and the Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park in the Mediterranean, Kolandia Park is one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the Hérault dedicated to children. It was built just 400 meters from the western beach of Vendres. If you are staying in Occitania with young children, we definitely recommend that you visit our theme park. If your children want to trade their sandcastles for bouncy castles while on holiday in Vendres on the Languedoc coast, introduce them to the Kolandia Park. They will find enough to jump off and satisfy their adrenaline needs. In Kolandia Park between Vendres and Valras-Plage, the inflatable games seem to have sprung up like mushrooms in autumn...
