La Curiosité de Lauriole is located near the small town of Lauriole, 6 km west of Minerve and 30 km north-east of Carcassonne.
The steep road is in fact considered by scientists as a curiosity, as of today, could not be explained.
Indeed, when one places a solid object or liquid said stock, it goes up instead of down.
Whether it's a car, a ball, a bottle, all tests were inexplicable ...
Several hypotheses have therefore made their appearances, and three more coherent are as follows:
- An optical illusion
- An unknown magnetic effect
- A gravitational anomaly
Also note that very few cases of people (really rare and therefore in total contradiction with other evidence) reported seeing a downward (not upward) upon arrival...

|
To study this phenomenon in a professional manner, a group of people decided to go explore this dimension in order to find the origin of this curiosity.
To develop a method to measure scientifically coherent, we must imagine being immersed in an environment with a relatively high magnetic field.
Therefore, any measurement made from a simple compass is skewed, as various people have used a bubble level. Why? Simply because they were not manufactured to operate in such an environment.
According to the explanations of this group, it would appear that if a person wants to make a measurement that is consistent, it must be "Referenced an independent element to characterize the object."
To do this, they used a level BILD they (still theoretical) placed outside influence.
Once the results are in hand and studied, it turns out, and unambiguous as possible, that the slope is negative and not positive (So she comes down and does not rise).
To conclude, I would take the spa team Psiland site (this is the same team that went to perform these tests) "The site will retain its characteristic of" curiosity ", but not as a geographical anomaly, but as beautiful illusion optics...

Minerve

Minerve has been selected as one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France ('The Most Beautiful Villages Of France').

The natural bridge of Minerve
|
The Minervois is one of the most ancient vineyards of the Mediterranean region. Indeed, its land was chosen by the Romans as providing ideal conditions for the first vines they planted in Languedoc Roussillon. Its name comes from the ancient city of Minerve, a stronghold built by the Romans and dedicated to the goddess Minerva. Since that time, many amphora shards and vestiges of cellars have been discovered, testimony to the importance of this vineyard. The region, austere in winter and redolent with sunshine in summer, has survived over the centuries its invasions by barbarians, Arabs and Christians. The essence of Minervois la Livinière, as in so many Midi appellations, is the blend; a marriage of different grape varieties that adds subtle nuance of flavour to the whole. Natural alcohol level must reach a minimum of 12% without enrichment (so no chaptalisation) and maximum yield is a modest 45 hl/ha. Ageing may be in barrel or vat, and unlike basic Minervois, the wine must be bottled at source, so cannot be sent off to a négociant elsewhere in France...

Domaine de Cantaussel |
|
|
 |
|
|
For years, Claude and Jean-Luc Bohler dreamt of acquiring a small vineyard, where they could make an authentic wine, a “terroir” wine. When, in 1995, after two years of unsuccessful research, they travelled down from Minerve to the plain and discovered the “landscape” of the Domaine de Cantaussel; the calm, the beauty, the minerality and the harmony of the place seduced them immediately. The topography, the soil and the modest superficies of the vines (10 ha) also convinced them. The Domaine de Cantaussel is on sale, they are definitely going to settle down here! This ancient domaine is located on the « petit causse », at an average altitude (300 m), nestled in a scrubland area, a few kilometres north of Siran, towards the west side of the Hérault county. The soil is composed of calcareous sediments as a result of erosions which have accumulated in a narrow combe, north-south facing. The poor earth vein and the source rock are located on a steep slope. The permanent fight against erosion had lead the elders to build, wherever the slopes were too steep, some terraces, held by riprap and dry stone walls patiently assembled over the centuries. This is where three farmer families living from polyculture once established themselves. As a heritage, they have left behind, the farmhouse dating from the 1700, the sheep pen and the stables, a threshing area, a bread oven, and an old olive grove… But the history of the area goes much further, judging by the remains of the gallo-roman oppidum, located on the domaine, on the summit of the Pic St Martin, and a few dolmens on the limestone plateau nearby...

La Cave des Vignerons - Siran |
 |
|

La Cave des Vignerons in Siran has experienced a kind of renaissance with the installation of a wine bar in the property formerly dedicated to wine and winemaking. Long ago left to its fate, la Cave came back to life under the guidance of Sabine and Patrick, who wanted to turn it into a meeting place and a cozy place with wine and varied cuisine, inspired by the inspiration of the chef and the seasons...
Wine bar, restaurant and concert hall, this former cooperative winery takes in part of its soul while remaining in the spirit of wine and the vine. Unpretentious and very comfortable. Thoroughly recommend...
