Chez Lulu - Narbonne

Located in the heart of the historic center of Narbonne, on rue Droite leading to the famous "Via Domitia", we welcome you to discover our cuisine where classic and modern meet in a relaxed, simple and well child of a bistro of yesteryear. Gourmet friends, gluttony, greedy, gourmets and gourmets.

At Chez Lulu you can come and have a cup of coffee at any time at 8.30 am, enjoy a homemade dish from 12 pm or fall for something sweet with a cup of organic tea during the day.

Alexandre, a well-known restaurateur in the region, has chosen the good life of Narbonne to settle down here and set up his pots. On the menu of simple dishes made from fresh and local products, the bistro says "100% homemade, 100% fresh and 0% frozen"!

During our visit, (among others) the following were proposed on the blackboard menu: Narbonne style beef pear, pollock tartare with lemongrass, oysters au gratin with Bellota and as a daily special a farm chicken (French) roasted with lemongrass and chardonnay served with tagliatelle of organic vegetables from this moment. It's good, it's abundant and it's not expensive, and the chalkboard menu changes every week!

Our restaurant strives to be a welcoming place whether you are alone or with a large group. Private or professional events, we are happy to advise you on the formulas adapted to your needs. "And the privatization of the restaurant."
We also like the atmosphere of the place with popular 1930s music and the neat decoration. At Chez Lulu you can take your time, catch up with your neighbors at the table, enjoy the moment, in short, you feel good there. We bet this little confidential address will soon become a place that will become very popular with Narbonne residents and tourists, so consider booking.

A lifelong enthusiast, Alexandre uses all his creativity to surprise the most eager for new products and continue to satisfy the taste buds of those already convinced of his specialties.
Chez Lulu - Narbonne
At Lulu it is much more than a restaurant, it is the realization of values that are dear to them: offering home-cooked dishes made with quality local products. All while being part of an approach to sustainable development.

We offer antipasti and homemade desserts in the afternoon and evening. Enjoy a fruit cocktail, one of our beers or a chilled rosé in the sun or under the parasols. For an aperitif we offer a wide range of whiskeys or house cocktails. And as a digestif, why not a glass of verveine de Puy en Velay? Tchin!

La Clape

La Clape A.O.P.

The La Clape AOP is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...

Abbaye de Fontfroide

Abbaye de Fontfroide - Narbonne

Immerse yourself for a day in the silent universe of the Cistercian Monks, who had only the cicadas’ song to distract them from contemplation. Standing in front of its high walls, it’s hard to imagine just how vast the Abbey is. Once you have passed the gate, the splendour of the ochre sandstone building will be revealed. It is one of the most beautiful Cistercian abbeys of France, founded in 1093 and saved from ruin in 1908 by art patrons Gustave and Madeleine Fayet. While discovering the dormitory and refectory, you will plunge into history and learn about the particularities of the Cistercian Order. You will find out, for instance, that the professed monks never met the conversi, or lay brothers, who were manual workers...

Cathédrale Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur

Cathédrale Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur - Narbonne

The High Gothic style of the Cathedral of Saint-Just and Saint-Pasteur takes its inspiration from the great cathedrals of Northern France. Its most striking feature is its unique choir, with vaulting soaring to more than 40 metres. It was built between 1272 and 1340 and remained unfinished because, in those troubled times, the Consuls refused to demolish the ramparts to provide stone to continue building. The side chapel, dedicated to Our Lady of Bethlehem, has a 14th-century altar-piece in painted stone. The Treasury, also known as the acoustic hall, displays a rich collection of liturgical objects, including ivories, gold and tapestries...
