Campsite Boucocers - Lagrasse
Officially designated ‘One Of The Most Beautiful Villages In France’, Lagrasse nestles at the confluence of two valleys in the stunning Corbières wine region of the South of France.

The village is linked to the 8th century Benedictine abbey to which it owed its original prosperity by two graceful bridges spanning the river...
Lagrasse is famed for its Abbey, Medieval houses and streets, book and pottery fairs over the Summer months, and a lovely 12th century hump backed bridge.

It is good place to explore anytime of the year and has a number of good restaurants.

Art from all over France is included in the stunning Sentier Sculpturel in Mayronnes, Corbieres. Mayronne(s) is a hamlet in the Corbieres hills, near Lagrasse. It hosts a stunning free sculpture trail 5km (two hours 30 minutes) long.

There are permanent sculptures and an annual exhibition April – September. Sculptures are amusing, puzzling and breathtaking.

The walk would be stunning even without the sculptures and it is a magical experience. Very few people know it’s there.

Château Borde-Rouge - Lagrasse

A.O.P. CorbièresThe vineyard of Château Borde-Rouge is one of the most picturesque geographies of the area .It is a natural amphitheater open to the sky, as the hand of God. At the heart of the circus, the castle, and on the steep hillsides of Mount Villebersan, the rows of vines that take possession of the red earth and form an illuminated green setting to the buildings of the castle and its timeless charm turret. White rocky ridge, ocher earth tones and hundred-year-old pines sculpted by the wind: it is an enchanting panorama that can be admired from afar when arriving by the road of the Vins des Corbières. On these medieval lands molded by beauty, still haunted by the Cathar tragedy, we invite you to a real stroll in the time between historic patrimony and contemporary creation. The turbulent history of Château Borde Rouge is rooted to the origins of our civilization. Roman occupation, Saracen tornado and work of the Benedictines marked the fate of Borde Rouge...

Le 1900

Le 1900 - Lagrasse

In place of the former 1900 museum in Lagrasse, Restaurant Le 1900 opened its doors in the spring of 2020. In a decor that is both retro and modern, some will still recognize some of the decoration of the old museum, Christophe, Valérie and Romain are happy to welcome you. Choice of tapas with, for example, duck hearts, parsley knives, cold cuts boards, cheese boards or a brasserie dish with grilled meat, fish a la plancha, parillade (for 2), savory salads and not to forget a very good gourmet tea ... the dishes are gourmet and here everything is homemade. It should be noted that many dishes are made with our neighbor's vinegar, Cyril Codina. Our tip for sunny days, the tables in the small, charming patio at the back of the restaurant are very pleasant...

Pont de Ribaute

Pont de Ribaute

Gorges de Ribaute, a gorgeous swimming spot of limpid blue-green water teaming with fish and dragonflies, below reefs of rock pummelled by centuries of water. For those not tempted to bathe, watching the wildlife is equally enjoyable. The river Orbieu tumbles from the geological chaos of the central Corbieres, gradually warming up as it runs over sun-baked rocks, until it winds through the vine-covered hills of Lagrasse and Ribaute...
