Open from Wednesdays to Sundays, L'epicurien has a weekday lunchtime menu for 15 euros including a glass of wine and coffee, in itself a good deal already. As it is a cheap fixed price menu there is no choice of starter or dessert, but two main courses.
The day we went the starter was cream of pumpkin soup garnished with grilled walnuts, the choice of mains was a tuna pasta bake or shepherd's pie made with duck confit.
They are plainly served, so seems rather absic but all of excellent quality.
Desserts were a homemade chocolate brownie-style cake with icecream.
So simple, basic, but very reasonably priced and the restaurant is full every lunchtime.
