The lovely scenery (view on to the beach and the sea) and the friendly welcome when entering the restaurant gives you a very promising.
One of the best and pleasants restaurants of Gruissan...
La Rose des Sables - Gruissan
"The owner lady made her clients feel at any moment, the really delicious and reasonable priced sea food (there was a very diverse Carte of the day, with scallops, mussels, grilled fish plate, fish soup, monk fish, etc. ) and very good quality of the food (home made, fresh, creative, good size portions!...), we felt so at ease and cosy so quickly that we could have sat there for hours"...
  Specialities

"The owner is constantly checking her serving girls have given good service. Little things like opening a menu. Organic flavoured oil and home baked bread start the meal and bowls of sweeties finish it with the coffee. Food is excellent not the usual tourist same old. We had a Carpaccio of Scalops with parmesan shavings and truffle oil as a starter very light and flavoursome. They have set prices for two or three courses, 18 euros and 22 euros which include all the a.la.carte menu to choose from. Children are welcome as the area outside is particularly good for them with a small play area and attractions. Out of season it's just a good quiet restaurant for all to enjoy".

Corbières

A.O.C. Corbières

The Corbières is one of the wildest areas of France with one of the lowest population densities. It is picturesque with wine growing areas alternating with garigue and mountainous countryside. It is located mainly in the Aude département and partly in the Pyrénées-Orientales département. The River Aude borders the Corbières to the west and north. To the south is the River Agly and to the east the the Mediterranean Sea. The name Corbières comes from "cor" a pre-Celtic word meaning "rock" and "berre" from the River Berre which runs through Durban. The eastern part of the Corbières with its Etangs, borders the the Mediterranean Sea and is called the Corbières maritimes. It has its own distinctive climate and characteristic vegetation known as thermomediterranean vegetation...

La Clape

La Clape

The La Clape AOC is located where the Coteaux du Languedoc and Corbières appellations overlap and is well known for its vineyards that lie on a limestone outcropping that extends across the entire region. The region produces red, rose and white wines that are fully representative of the region and the reds show particularly well, often times considered a vin de garde. The majority of the wines of Gruissan are produced on the Clape. This little mountain, situated between Narbonne and Gruissan was an isle at the time of prehistoric man. The Clape, gets its name from the Occitan word « Clapas » meaning a pile of stones, and reaches a height of 214 m. The pine trees cover the slopes of the Clape. The garrigue covers the plateaux and the thyme, the rosemary and the lavender that invite you to promenade are what give the wines their character...
