Created by Michel Fenn in 1974

Embedded in the forest of Buzet sur Tarn, this is magnificent champtionship 18 hole golf course is ranked 9th in France. Each hole is lined with 100-year-old trees and is a hugely enjoyable challenge. Practice range, pro shop and very good restaurant..

It is sheer pleasure to get to know this region and most of all the city Toulouse.
At the Palmola golf club there is always something going on. Primarily, Palmola is a Club, a great one. To a certain extent it has a British atmosphere. Here you meet friends devoting themselves to the same passion.

In a region where people enjoy the way of life, Palmola is the place where golf is cultivated. This means not only making a 250 metres/273 yards shot but to succumb to the passion of golf itself. Palmola is a very family-style course and wll worth a visit...

The highlights of the course:
After an easy start-off, on the second hole, considered the most difficult on the course, you could well start to lose your courage. It is a left dogleg with the "chance" of a triple bogey, even for the champions. The 13th is a long par 5, tree-lined, which might be helpful, but the green requires a good approach. Followed by the 14th, with a right dogleg and with out-of-bounds on the right. A good drive to the left of the fairway makes the second easier. The 15th a spectacular par 5 with many difficulties: woods to the left and right, a small pond on the right and a very well defended green. Another difficult hole is the 17th, it requires two long shots to reach the green. The round ends a difficult par 3, where you have to pass between the trees to a two-tier green.
Other amenities include: Swimming pool, tennis courts, kindergarden...

Vin de Pays d’Oc,
Vin de Pays de l’Aude

Vin de Pays d’Oc, Vin de Pays de l’Aude

Vin de Pays means 'country wine' to the French, but to outsiders it can mean New World with a French accent. These are the wines which the French authorities unreservedly allow to be labelled with the grape variety from which they were made. It is difficult to over-estimate the importance of this large and growing category of wines for the future of the French wine trade. The French themselves may have tended to see any Vin de Pays as distinctly inferior to any appellation contrôlée wine, whereas many of their customers abroad see the better Vins de Pays as good-value, user-friendly, sometimes high-quality non-conformist emissaries from the world's most revered wine producer....

The Grapes

The Grapes

There are thousands of grape varieties contributing to a vast array of different wine styles with each variety having its own distinct flavours and characteristics. Varieties can be made uniquely to make a wine, in whch case the wine is known as a varietal, or collectively with other varities, when the wine is known as a blend. The soils and ‘terroirs’ in the Aude area are very varied, from Schist, Sandstone, Marl, Gravel, Pebbles, Limestone, to Granit and Alluvial soil; thus making many marvelous and different styles of wine. Also in this massive area are many different grape varieties, the reds include Carignon, Cinsault, Granache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The whites, Chardonnay, Granache blanc, Picpoul, Marsanne, Roussanne, Vermantino, Mauzac, Chenin and Clairette...

Michel Sarran

Michel Sarran - Toulouse

"Here like nowhere else..." Here, it is a house more than a restaurant, where the art of life is practiced with sweetness, discretion and charm. We welcome you with respect, friendliness, warmth and soon like our friends. The word "customer" doesn't make sense. Here everything goes by two: the dining room, the cooking, Françoise & Michel Sarran. First the dining room, I mean rooms. They are each double: The one downstairs, with modern architecture and furniture, with wood and tiling that sweeten straight lines and curves and rush into an indoor garden in springtime. Then there are the ones upstairs. There, no doubt, the notion of restaurant fades away to leave the space to a familial house. Instantly the environment is more intimate and hushed...

Whether it is in the dining room in rotunda, in the flowery inner courtyard or around the swimming pool, reigns an unrivalled atmosphere, made by peace, by discreet luxury and by well-being, which agrees completely with Stéphane Tournié's cooking. His sophisticated cooking, full of character, flavourful and creative as one pleases shows itself of the most authentic. It emphasizes beautiful products in the respect for their flavours which it sublimates mostly. It is a great cooking from Southwest, respectful of the traditions without being a slave....
